Alternative Provision
Our alternative provision is for young people who are unable to attend mainstream schools due to exclusion, illness, SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs) or who require an individualised and inclusive learning environment due to SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) or requiring an EHCP (Education, Health and Care plan) and are currently unable to access a suitable learning environment.
We offer tailored learning to provide occupational and vocational qualifications, specialising in animal care, horticulture and conservation. We work alongside other providers and schools to ensure students can achieve a well rounded education to enable them to enter the world of work or further education.
Not just a qualification….
At Growing Together we appreciate that young people need more than ‘just’ a piece of paper to help them succeed in life. By developing personal skills, transferable employability skills and focusing on emotional intelligence in an environment that encourages leadership and team cultures we help students to develop all of the life skills they need to succeed.
We also work with local businesses, community and conservation groups and provide access to the local area in a positive manner helping students to build meaningful relations with the community and appreciate what our locality has to offer, giving networking opportunities to help students into the world of work and further education.
By ensuring students have a wholesome experience we provide them with a secure sense of belonging, helping them to build their self confidence and belief in their abilities and opportunities for their futures.
